About Cognuum
Cognuum is a private intelligence system for investors, researchers, and operators who want their context to persist, their workflow to remain coherent, and their intelligence to compound in private.

Built at the intersection of macro research, product design, and private intelligence.
The origin
private intelligence infrastructure
I’m Remi Tetot, founder of Cognuum.
My path began in technology before shifting into macro finance in 2012. That move led me to Global Macro Investor, where I worked alongside Raoul Pal and spent more than a decade learning how serious investors process complexity, build conviction, and act under uncertainty.
Over those years, I moved from analyst to Head of Research. I studied macro regimes, built frameworks, helped shape research around Bitcoin, demographics, the retirement crisis, and the exponential age, and spent thousands of hours observing how elite investors actually work.
But the deeper lesson was not only about markets.
It was about systems.
The best investors did not merely consume more information. They built context. They preserved mental models. They revisited prior judgments. They connected signal across time.
That is where traditional workflows repeatedly failed.
At my core, I have always been a builder. Research mattered. But building the environment in which intelligence could persist mattered more.
Cognuum came from that realization.
Why it exists
information scarcity
After years inside macro research, one pattern became impossible to ignore.
Professionals were still working across fragmented systems. Research lived in PDFs. Charts lived elsewhere. Data sat in separate dashboards. Notes were disconnected from decisions. Podcasts and transcripts were consumed, then lost. AI arrived, but mostly as a stateless layer detached from the user’s real research environment.
The problem was not lack of information.
It was loss of coherence.
Each tool solved for a narrow function. None preserved the continuity of understanding. None gave investors a private system where context could accumulate, deepen, and remain connected over time.
That is why Cognuum exists.
Not to add more noise. Not to create another research product. Not to wrap markets in generic AI.
It exists to give serious users a private intelligence system where understanding has continuity, memory, structure, and control.
What it is
not another fragmented tool
Cognuum brings together the layers that serious research work has historically kept apart.
Charts. Market data. Notes. Documents. Audio. Transcripts. Research files. Thematic work. Portfolio thinking. AI-assisted synthesis.
Not as disconnected utilities, but as one coherent environment.
Cognuum is designed so that your work does not reset each time you move between tools. It is built so that your context remains available, your prior thinking remains usable, and your system becomes more valuable as it deepens.
It is not a terminal clone.
It is not a generic AI assistant.
It is not a note-taking app with a chatbot attached.
It is a private intelligence environment where research, memory, interpretation, and workflow live together.
The goal is not more output. The goal is deeper, more durable understanding.
How AI is used
rather than detached from it
AI inside Cognuum is not treated as a novelty layer or a generic conversational wrapper.
It operates within the user’s private research environment.
That means AI can help retrieve, compare, synthesize, structure, and reason across the materials that actually matter to the user: notes, documents, transcripts, charts, market context, and preserved research history.
The role of AI is not to replace judgment.
It is to extend cognition within a system that already contains context.
Used properly, this changes the value of AI completely. Instead of generating disposable outputs in a vacuum, it becomes a working layer inside a private intelligence environment. It helps users revisit prior thinking, connect ideas across time, interrogate their own research universe, and move faster without severing reasoning from memory.
Privacy remains central.
User content is not used to train external models. Sensitive work is processed within a controlled architecture designed around encryption, traceability, and private ownership of context.
What it is built around
Your research environment is yours. No ads. No data resale. No model training on user content.
Understanding should accumulate, not reset. Context, memory, and prior work remain part of the system.
Charts, notes, files, transcripts, and intelligence workflows belong in one environment, not across disconnected tools.
Serious work requires boundaries, auditability, and ownership over how intelligence is built and used.
The more context your system holds, the more relevant and useful it becomes over time.
Cognuum is built for those who want understanding to deepen, persist, and remain their own.
The path here
Cognuum did not begin as a branding exercise. It emerged from years of work across research, media, markets, and product building.
A decade inside macro research, moving from analyst to Head of Research, learning how institutional-quality thinking is built and where research workflows repeatedly break down.
Part of the early team that helped build a new model for high-quality financial media and broaden access to serious market conversation.
An independent research platform built to challenge consensus thinking and develop higher-conviction frameworks outside institutional constraints.
The shift from publishing research into building private intelligence infrastructure for those who want coherence, continuity, and control.
Cognuum is the convergence of those experiences into one system.
If your work depends on context, continuity, privacy, and independent judgment, Cognuum is built for that standard.
Not for attention. Not for noise. Built for serious understanding.
